Use Your 10DLC (10 Digit Long Code) Number

The best phone number you should use to text with customers is your current 10 digit landline or VoIP business number that your customers are already calling you on. Also known as 10 DLC number, your 10 Digit Long Code number is a local 10-digit phone number that can receive text messages by text-enabling it on Texty Pro. 10 DLC messaging is the new standard for text messaging in the US and applies to all text messages sent and received over the 10 digit phone numbers including landline and VoIP numbers.

Texty Pro business texting service supports businesses using the North American Numbering Plan (NANP), a telephone numbering plan primarily used in North America and the Caribbean. It includes the United States and its territories, Canada, Bermuda, Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, Sint Maarten, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turks & Caicos. The NANP area uses the country code "1" and phone numbers consist of ten digits (i.e., +1 XXX-XXX-XXXX).

  • NOT Supported: Cell phone numbers, short code, toll-free, and phone numbers from free texting apps like Google Voice are not supported.
