What file types can I send and receive?

MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) text messages allow you to send multimedia content in addition to plain text messages. Some of the content that can be sent through MMS messages include:

1. Photos and Images: You can send images and photos in MMS messages. Most phones and messaging apps allow you to capture and send photos directly through the messaging app.
2. Videos: MMS messages also allow you to send videos. The length of the video that can be sent may vary depending on the device and carrier.
3. Audio: You can also send audio files such as music or voice recordings through MMS messages.
4. PDF: You can send & receive PDFs through MMS.
5. GIFs: Animated GIFs can also be sent through MMS messages, adding a touch of fun and humor to your messages.
6. Contact Cards: You can send contact information in the form of a contact card, which can be useful when sharing your contact information or someone else's contact information with others.

It is important to note that the size limit for MMS messages may vary depending on the device and carrier. Additionally, sending MMS messages may incur additional fees, so it is important to check with your carrier for more information.

Can I send or receive pictures with Texty Pro?

You can send and receive pictures, audio, video, PDF, and vCard files via MMS text messages. Listed below are the file extensions that we currently support. Other file types are not currently compatible.

Files that can be sent through text messages

You can send PDFs of any type via MMS, as long as they are under 1MB in size. Our service has this limit because different mobile carriers have different file size requirements for compatibility. Some carriers may accept larger files, but we can’t guarantee it. Due to the differences in devices, file types, and transcoding, we recommend that you send PDF files that are no larger than 500KB to ensure delivery.
